How Western 649 works
Pick six numbers from 1 to 49 for $1, or Quick Pick. A bonus number is drawn for second-tier prizes.
Match all six to win or share the fixed $1 million jackpot.
Western Canada only (WCLC region), which is exactly why Calgarians like it: same odds as 6/49 for a third of the price, and fewer people to split with.
The jackpot is a fixed $1 million (shared if there are multiple winners). Western 649 is sold only in Western Canada, so the player pool — and your odds of not splitting — are better than the national games.
The honest math: jackpot odds are 1 in 13,983,816. Playing more does not make a win "due" — every draw is independent. Treat a ticket as entertainment spending, never as a plan.
Draw schedule
